Explore Hamilton’s community arts center in a guided tour to learn more about the center’s history and mission. Tours will be on-going and last approximately 30 minutes.

Gallery Exhibitions (1st and 2nd floors)
Current exhibitions feature landscape photographs by Charles Martin, figurative sculpture by Mark Chatterley, multi-media artwork by Jan Thomas and Options Academy student work.

Blot Painting (1st floor Lobby Gallery)
Children can create a mirror-image, “Rorschach” painting using a blot technique. This artwork will hang in our temporary gallery to dry while visitors explore other activities.

Origami (1st floor Lobby Gallery)
With a few simple folds turn a simple piece of paper into a miniature book or cootie catcher (once you see one made you will recognize this familiar childhood toy)

Yoga (Room 122)
Join in a yoga class and experience the relaxing effects of deep breathing and long stretches. You will leave calm, refreshed and energized. Fun for everyone.

Fun with Clay (Room 100)
Visit our pottery studio to watch a lump of clay transformed into a functional vessel on the potter’s wheel. Fitton pottery instructors will also be on hand to guide you while you create your own work of art in clay.

Drum Circle (1st floor – Benninghofen Theatre)
No rhythm is necessary for visitors of all ages to be a part of this uplifting group experience. Play traditional and contemporary rhythms, improvising with your neighbors. The variety of instruments makes a truly unique sound.

Mardi Gras Masks (Room 104)
The whole family will have fun celebrating Mardi Gras making their own festive masks. Participants will use glitter, sequins, ribbons and feathers to create a one of a kind masterful disguise.

Belly Dancing (Room 122)
Release your inner dancer! Join our belly dancing troupe, Circle of Rhiannon, and learn a few basic shimmies, twists and shakes. Be sure to leave your inhibitions at the door!

Murstein Country Line Dancers (1st floor – Benninghofen Theatre)
Watch the feet fly during a performance by over 20 dancers representing the Hamilton Senior Center. The group consists of dancers aged 62 to 86 who are all young at heart.

Peraza’s Music Workshop (3rd floor – Carruthers Signature Ballroom)
See talented young violin students perform challenging classical repertoire.
